HISTORY
The Lahontan Valley Wetlands are a critical stopover site and breeding habitat for many species. Hundreds of thousands of birds stop by the wetlands each spring and the site has been recognized as important bird habitat by Western Hemispheric Shorebird Reserve Network, the National Audubon Society's Important Bird Area Program, and the American Bird Conservancy's Globally Important Bird Area Program. Join us as we celebrate spring migration every year! |
